Endodontics
Endodontics is one of the most rapidly developing areas in dentistry. Endodontics is a branch of dentistry, which deals with diagnosis and therapy of the tooth root canal. Improper treatment of roots may cause inflammation of not only the tooth, but also of the bone tissue around the tooth, as well as of the periodontium, which results in an untimely removal of the tooth. Even after restoration of the tooth crown or orthopedic coronal replacement, the tooth does not last long if its root canals have not been treated correctly. Modern endodontics is a complex process, which involves:
  1. Tooth isolation with a barrier
  2. Mechanical preparation of root canals via endodontic rotation files
  3. Determination of root canal length
  4. Cleaning root canals with antiseptics
  5. Filling root canals with temporary filling material if required
  6. Permanent root canal filling with lateral condensation
  7. X-ray control
